Maier True Communication Rebrands as BlueStar Communications Group
Brand Reflects Reinvigorated Company’s Commitment as a Strategy-Driven, Technology-Rich and
Results-Focused Advocate for Customers Aspiring to Perform at the Highest Level
Jan. 9, 2020 (FARMINGTON, Conn) – Maier True Communication announced today that it is rebranding as BlueStar Communications Group. Named after the hottest, brightest and longest-lasting stars in the universe, the new brand channels the company’s goal of fueling blue-hot client success stories while growing the long-term client relationships it’s known for.
“BlueStar is entering the B2B marketing and communications space as a brand-new company with a 50-year track record of success,” says I. Todd Russell, BlueStar President. “But how we achieve that success is very different than it was 50, five or even two years ago. We’re constantly rethinking our business, reexamining what customers need and refining how we leverage technology to do more, better and for less. We call it ‘BlueStar Thinking.’”
BlueStar Communications Group is a full-service agency with one foot planted firmly in Strategy, Creative and Content and the other foot in Technology, Client Engagement and Metrics. The result is the capability to determine, plan, execute, evaluate and improve initiatives that help clients soar. BlueStar’s deliverables give clients new ways to Radiate: from branding, digital and demand generation to video, research and managing social footprints.
Founded as Maier Advertising in 1971 and evolving to Maier True Communication in 2001, BlueStar has been a trusted partner to both America’s largest companies and Connecticut’s business leaders.
“We chose an aspirational brand rather than the names of our new principals because we don’t do what old-style ad agencies do. There are no Don Drapers here,” says Rick Mellon, Executive Vice President of Creative. “We’re digital, dynamic and driven to develop ideas, strategies and programs that deliver measurable results.”
Along with their new brand, the company also moved to new, state-of-the-art offices. “We’ve created and staffed a strategy to be the proactive, clever partner our customers need,” says Laura Kennedy, Executive Vice President of Finance. “Our new office space is an important tool to help Team BlueStar deliver on our promises.”
